Adult, concession, urban, non-urban and child/student fares on public buses, school buses and the Derwent River Ferry will be halved until 30 June 2025.
To deliver cost of living relief, reduce congestion, and encourage first time public transport users, all public transport fares will be halved from Saturday 1 June 2024.
Adult, concession, urban, non-urban, and child/student fares on public buses, school buses and the Derwent River Ferry will be halved until 30 June 2025.
Services will continue to operate according to their current routes and timetable for the duration of the half price fare period. As public transport may be busier during this time, the Department of State Growth will work closely with public transport operators to manage demand.
State Growth will inform the public of fare changes via media releases and online information.
