Palliative Care Tasmania are excited to introduce a new award category this year – the ‘Ruth Andrews Memorial Award for Kindness’. Sponsored by Searson Buck, this award honours an individual who exemplifies Ruth’s spirit of kindness and dedication to compassionate care within a palliative care setting.

Open to professionals across various fields, the award winner will receive financial support for professional development (generously provided by Eleanor Laud) allowing them to further build their knowledge and understanding in palliative care and continue Ruth’s legacy of kindness.

The 2024 Tasmanian Palliative Care Awards are the only state-wide awards that recognise compassion and excellence in Palliative Care across the state. This is our opportunity to acknowledge the many selfless individuals and organisations assisting people with a life-limiting illness to live, die and grieve well.
