The Drug Education Network are currently running a campaign on Channel 9 with a series of advertisements raising awareness that mixing medication with alcohol can be dangerous.
“Did you know that combining alcohol with medications, or combining different medications, can be dangerous and may lead to serious health risks? If you take medication, whether you have just started, you’ve recently changed meds, or you have been taking them for a long time without discussing potential risks, check with your GP or Pharmacist about your specific medication and stay safe. Being aware is the first step to prioritising your own health and safety.”
