Dr Sturmberg is the Research Leader in the Battery Storage and Grid Integration Program. In August 2024 he was named the ACT Emerging Scientist of the Year by the Australian government. He holds a PhD from The University of Sydney for his research on nanostructured solar cells, which earnt him a scholarship from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency. He has written a children’s book, “Amy’s Balancing Act” to raise awareness of clean energy and the power of diversity within young minds.
