Are you caring for a family member or friend and want to shape how the Tasmanian Government helps carers like you? Two positions are available on the Minister’s Carer Advisory Council.
The Minister’s Carer Advisory Council are looking for carers who provide unpaid care and support to a family member or friend who has disability, mental ill health, a chronic or life-limiting condition, alcohol or other drug dependence, who is frail or aged, or a child (and you are their informal kinship carer).
The Council provides advice, information and insights about issues affecting carers. This assists in the development and delivery of informed, effective and evidence-based policy, programs and projects to support and recognise unpaid carers.
The Council plays a key role in monitoring the implementation of Supporting Tasmanian Carers: Tasmania’s Carer Action Plan (2021-25) and will contribute to the development of the next Tasmanian Carer Action Plan.
Carers from regional areas of Tasmania are strongly encouraged to apply.
The closing date for expressions of interest is Monday 24 February 2025.
