A free, four week program will be held in March-April 2025 at Clifton Beach.

The “Play Well – Surf For Life” program, funded by the Australian Sports Commission, offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals to be introduced to the sport of surfing. This initiative aims to make surfing accessible to everyone by removing barriers to physical activity and providing surf lessons to individuals who might not otherwise have such opportunities.

We provide a free four-week learn-to-surf program for up to 35 participants, ensuring that those who might not otherwise have the chance to experience the sport, have a safe environment to do so.

The program ensures that individuals who might otherwise face barriers can experience the joy of surfing and develop valuable water safety skills. This initiative aims to create opportunities for everyone to participate, regardless of their financial or social situation.

This program will be run over between 15 March 2025 – 5 April 2025 (Saturday 15th March, 22nd March, 29th March & 5th April between 1 & 3PM). Program is targeted at individuals aged 12 years and above.

After completing the 4-week program, each participant will receive an additional $80 gift voucher. This can be used for another surf lesson, board hire, or to purchase equipment, supporting your ongoing surfing post-program.

This program is proudly presented by Surfing Australia, Surfing Tasmania and Coastrider Surf Academy (2023 Surf School of the Year).

If you’re excited about learning to surf, sign up online today to join the program! All gear and equipment will be supplied – just bring a towel and wear suitable sun protection clothing.

If you have any questions, please contact Jono Mereszka from Coastrider Surf Academy on 0419 324 921.
