Join us as we once again come together for our annual Homelessness Week — Walk to Raise Awareness in Launceston. This community walk is an opportunity to stand alongside people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, raise awareness, and advocate for a future where everyone has access to safe and secure housing.

The walk will take place on Wednesday 5 August 2026, commencing at 10:30 am from the City Park Rotunda. Together, we will walk through the city before concluding at Royal Park

Following the walk, participants are invited to stay and connect over a warm meal, with Vinnies Van, the City Mission SnagChat Van, and the Salvation Army Street Beat Van serving soup, coffee, and sausages.

Everyone is welcome to attend. If you are able, we encourage you to bring a warm jacket or blanket to donate to Vinnies Van. Your generosity will help provide comfort and warmth to people doing it tough during Tasmania’s cold winter.

Together, we can raise awareness, inspire compassion, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness. We hope you’ll join us.
