The Standard Mental Health First Aid training course will teach you how to provide initial support to people who may be experiencing mental health problems. The course has been developed using the expertise of people with lived experience, as well as mental health professionals.
We’ll explore depression, anxiety problems, psychosis and substance use. Some of the crisis situations we’ll explore include suicidal thinking, panic attacks and severe psychotic states.
Training goes for 12 hours over two days, and is accredited for three years. You can also qualify for up to five CPD points.
Your own copy of the MHFA manual will be included, along with other resources.
Feedback from participants:
“Jonathan held the space for us in a way that felt safe and open to me. His knowledge in this area was clear, but he let us be curious and come to our own conclusions. I would highly recommend undertaking MHFA, and Jonathan was an excellent facilitator.” — Coach and Consultant, lutruwita/Tasmania
