Event Details This is a practical workshop designed to give learners the tools they need to implement effective and supportive mentoring and leadership skills. Scenarios and role play give them an opportunity to practise in the learning space with access to feedback. They will leave with greater confidence to make safe and positive changes in their own workplace. The Emerging Leader Skillset focuses on strategies for promoting positive mental health, building supportive work environments, and understanding key leadership and mentoring qualities. The workshop emphasises the importance of values, mentorship, motivation techniques, and effective communication. Additionally, it covers handling workplace challenges such as bullying and harassment, giving constructive feedback, and managing necessary conversations. Participants will leave with knowledge and skills on how to be an effective and supportive mentor or supervisor in the workplace. This, in turn, will help to create safe and effective workplaces.
