Keeping good case notes and records can be hard. It may be very time-consuming, and some staff may not know what to record or how to record efficiently. This online, self-paced course will help take some of the pain out of keeping case notes by giving clear guidelines.
The course will also help staff write their notes easily and efficiently in a consistent manner and so improve the service to the client.
Once enrolled, learners can log-in at any time, log-out at any time and come back later and resume where they left off.
The course takes approximately 90 minutes to complete and covers the following:
- Why case notes and records need to be kept;
- Possible audiences for case notes and records;
- Possible consequences of not keeping good case notes and records;
- How to write case notes and records including a suggested structure for keeping case notes and records;
- How to write in a way that is easy to defend and hard to attack; and
- Examples of good case notes and poor case notes are given with suggested improvements for the poor case notes.
The course costs $55 (incl. GST) per person.
Once a person is enrolled, they have access to the course for 3 months or until they complete the course (whichever comes first).
A certificate is provided upon completion.
