Women’s Legal Service Tasmania, in collaboration with the University of Tasmania Tax Clinic and community partners, is launching a new series of ‘Life Admin Day’ events across Tasmania — helping people tackle the everyday paperwork, bills, tax tasks and online systems they’ve been avoiding. The events will be held in Launceston, Hobart and Devonport.
☕ New “Life Admin Day” Events Help Tasmanians Tackle Their Doom Piles — One Envelope at a Time
The concept is simple: Bring your “doom pile” — unopened mail, tax paperwork, mystery folders, overdue forms, or confusing online tasks — and sit down with a free coffee and supportive professionals who can help you get started.
The events are designed to be informal, practical, and judgement-free, with support available around:
• Tax and ATO questions
• Budgeting and bills
• myGov and online systems
• Referrals to community services
• General life admin support
There will be no formal presentations — just a welcoming space where community members can spend 30 minutes or more tackling tasks that often become overwhelming when life gets busy.
