Ten years ago, we opened our doors with a simple goal: to provide free, accessible, trauma counselling for people who were falling through the gaps in existing services. Come along and help us celebrate 10 years of vital community work and say thank you to everyone who has supported us so far.
As an unfunded service, Enterprising Aardvark has provided around 1,500 hours of free, flexible, confidential and long-term counselling each year since 2017 to children, young people and adults in our community. We do this without government funding, thanks to the support of our dedicated volunteers, donors and fundraising efforts.
We’re planning a fantastic night filled with delicious food, great music and a chance to let your hair down as we celebrate 10 years of free counselling and support provided by Enterprising Aardvark to survivors of violence in our community.
You can find out more about us here, but here’s a snapshot of what we do:
- We provide counselling and support to children, young people and adults who have survived sexual, physical and interpersonal trauma.
- Our services are free, flexible and accessible.
- We receive no government funding.
- We’ve provided more than $1 million worth of professional counselling.
- We’re celebrating our 10th year.
- We’re all volunteers!
And we want to celebrate with you!
There’ll be plenty of great music from local Launceston artists Denni Sulzberger and The Cover Crew! Denni is a talented cellist, while The Cover Crew will have you dancing to hits from across the decades.
The celebrations kick off at 6pm, with tickets just $85, including delicious platters served throughout the night and a welcome drink. A full bar will also be available.
A huge thank you to our sponsors: The Lions Club of Kings Meadows, Amovita International and Barratts Music.
