– Where do people smoke on site?
– Where do people like to meet up, or would meet if it was a smoke-free area?
Education and
training
– Does your organisation need training about how to have brief intervention conversations, nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) products, other resources?
– Who would be best to provide this information? Qualified staff, lived experience advocates, other organisations, e.g. Quit Tasmania?
SupportWhat type of support would people prefer – Human Resources, counsellor or psychologist, Quitline, doctor or other health professional?
Client group– Consider other factors that may affect your client group – trauma, alcohol and other drugs, mental health, finances, homelessness, other health conditions.

Policy– Do you have a smoke-free worksite policy?
– Do you need to draft a policy, update it, enforce it, let staff/clients know about it?
Procedure– Include smoke-free worksite policy in everyday practice, e.g. job advertisements, position descriptions, human resources policies about work breaks, update code of conduct.
– Collect data to promote and evaluate the project -think about numbers and stories, including images and video for your website and social media platforms.
