Member Policy Networks

Good policy solutions are the key to our advocacy at TasCOSS. We arrive at evidence-informed solutions by consulting with members, hearing from people with lived experience and conducting research and analysis.
TasCOSS Member Policy Networks

In response to requests from TasCOSS Members, we have established two Member Policy Networks to enhance policy and advocacy outcomes in Tasmania.

The Cost of Living Policy Network will consider how we can better ensure all Tasmanians can afford the basics of life, including through:

  • Income support;
  • Employment; and
  • Affordable housing, food, energy, transport and telecommunications.

The Community Support & Connections Policy Network will consider how we can better ensure all Tasmanians can connect with and receive support from their community in ways that work for them, including through:

  • Support to build healthy connections inside and outside the home; and
  • A sustainable and person-centred, place-based community services industry.

Each Member Policy Network will share research and experience relevant to develop evidence-informed policy, support the development of submissions to government consultations, discuss advocacy strategies and coordinate advocacy on key issues as appropriate, as well as invite guests speakers on topics of interest.

If you’re a TasCOSS Member and would like to participate in these Policy Networks, you can sign-up today.

As a TasCOSS Member, you receive access to our extensive online Resources Library, which features research, analysis, submissions and reviews.
