Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare

The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare (the Centre) is an interjurisdictional peak body for child and family services in Tasmania and Victoria.
For more than 100 years, the Centre has worked alongside government, community services, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, researchers and people with lived experience to strengthen systems that improve outcomes for children and families.
Our work focuses on policy and advocacy, workforce capability, leadership development, practice improvement, research and evaluation, sector collaboration, and system reform.

We deliver professional learning, communities of practice, strategic projects, consultancy services and evidence-informed resources that support organisations and practitioners.
In Tasmania, the Centre works closely with government and the community services sector to support prevention and early intervention, child and family system reform, out-of-home care reform, child safety, workforce development and cross-sector collaboration.
