City Mission has been providing Northern Tasmanians with care and support for over 165 years. We recognise many in our community need assistance to get back on track and participate socially and economically. Some in our community have multiple and complex issues and many services find it challenging to work with them, but for City Mission, no‐one is in our “too hard basket”. From health care to housing, social enterprises to residential rehabilitation, children and young people to long-term unemployed, we provide a range of social support, goods and services to the community.

MISSION 2 A FUTURE
Mission 2 a Future (M2aF) is a unique mentoring program that focuses on a holistic approach in supporting vulnerable members of our community to make positive steps forward toward a brighter future. Participants are supported by trained facilitators who walk beside them, providing them with life skills and opportunities to re-engage with the community, education, training and/or employment.
The M2aF facilitator meets with participants weekly or fortnightly to help identify personal, work or education goals and develop a transition plan. One-on-one meetings are conducted to ensure each person’s unique needs and circumstances can be understood and supported.
