Polish Association in Hobart Inc. (t/a Polish Welfare Office)

The Polish Association in Hobart (Związek Polaków w Hobart) was established in 1950 by Polish post-World War II migrants who arrived in Tasmania to start a new life. The Association is their legacy to the future generations.

The aims of the Polish Association are to promote Polish culture and language and to build friendly links between Polish and Australian communities. One of the major activities of the Association is the provision of support services to older members of the Tasmanian Community, with a focus on persons of Polish descent. Services are delivered through the Polish Welfare Office.
