Hospice Care is a not-for-profit, NGO operating since 1989 on the North West Coast of Tasmania. We are run by a Board, which meets 11 times per year .
We are funded through the State Government and provide over 1000 hours of support annually to our clients through trained and supported Volunteers.
- We are co-located in South Burnie with the Specialist Palliative Care Service team
- We provide support from Wynyard through to Port Sorell and back to Sheffield.
- We provide in-home respite to our clients so their carer can take a regular break from the caring role
- We provide transport to treatment or medical appointments
