Can you help shape the way the Tasmanian Government supports older Tasmanians? Expressions of interest are now open from older Tasmanians and organisations that work with older Tasmanians to fill these important roles on the new Older Tasmanians Ministerial Advisory Council.
The Council is seeking expressions of interest for up to five community members that will provide advice and insights about issues affecting older Tasmanians, based on their own lived experience.
This includes sharing their views on implementing Tasmania’s five-year Older Tasmanians Action Plan, A Respectful, Age-Friendly Island.
Expressions of interest are also being sought for an additional two members from organisations supporting older Tasmanians.
This will assist in the development and implementation of informed, effective and evidence-based policy, programs and projects to support older Tasmanians.
Anyone aged 65 and over living in Tasmania can apply. For Aboriginal Tasmanians, anyone aged 50 and over is encouraged to apply.
