The Child Safety and Wellbeing Service, Department of Health is seeking expressions of interest for the Child and Young People Advisory Group. The group brings together children and young people (12-18) to share their perspectives and help shape policies, programs and services that impact their lives.

It’s a safe, supported space for young people to be heard and make a meaningful difference.

We’re looking for young people who:

  • Want their voices heard;
  • Are interested in making a positive impact;
  • Bring diverse backgrounds and perspectives; and
  • Can take part in discussions and occasional meetings.

We strongly encourage participation from those whose voices are less often heard.

What are the benefits for a young person

  • Meet and talk about ideas with other young people;
  • Build skills and knowledge to help others; and
  • Develop communication skills.

The department is committed to providing reimbursement for each young person’s time.
