Meals on Wheels Tasmania is currently seeking applications from suitably experienced professionals to join our board. We are particularly interested in appointing a legal representative to provide valuable expertise in governance, compliance and regulatory matters.
Meals on Wheels Tasmania is a leading community service organisation with a rich 70-year history supporting vulnerable Tasmanians. We deliver over 280,000 meals per year through our dedicated network of over 750 volunteers, backed by a team of passionate employees operating from Smithton in the North-West down to Dover in the South.

These positions are voluntary, with all out-of-pocket expenses covered by MOWTAS.
Successful applicants must hold a current (not older than three years) National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (WWVP), which will be paid for by MOWTAS.
Applicants should possess:
- Legal qualifications and experience, preferably in corporate, not-for-profit, or aged care sectors.
- A strong understanding of contemporary corporate governance practices and the legal responsibilities of Board Directors.
- A genuine interest in the aged care sector and the mission of MOWTAS.
- High personal and professional integrity, with independent judgment and decision-making capabilities aligned with MOWTAS’ purpose and values.
