Did you know Small Steps currently has vacancies available? Small Steps supports young parents under 25 who need a safe, stable place to live while they build confidence, skills and independence with their child.
We’re keen to connect with community service practitioners who may be working with young parents who could benefit from:
-
A secure, self-contained one-bedroom unit for parent and child;
-
24/7 onsite staff and volunteer support;
-
Individualised, one-on-one case support tailored to each family’s goals;
-
Opportunities for parent–child learning, play and connection; and
-
Planned pathways toward independent living when families are ready.
Small Steps is designed to provide stability at a critical time, while supporting positive parenting, wellbeing and long-term outcomes for young families.
Places are currently available, and we welcome conversations about potential referrals or suitability. To chat or find out more, please call (03) 6215 4200 or email smallsteps@hobartcitymission.org.au. We’re always happy to talk through how Small Steps might support the young people you’re working with.
