TasCOSS Life Membership is awarded for outstanding service and/or contribution to TasCOSS and the Tasmanian community service industry. This year, I am delighted to present Mat Rowell with the honour of TasCOSS Life Membership.
In making this presentation, the TasCOSS Board would like to acknowledge and applaud Mat’s long and very respected career in the Tasmanian community service industry, having worked as CEO for TasCOSS, Relationships Australia Tasmania and Lady Gowrie Tasmania.
We would also like to recognise his contribution to the industry through the many voluntary board-level and committee positions he has held, including TasCOSS, ACOSS, JCP Youth, The Pinnacle Foundation and Hamlet.
Mat, you have played a pivotal role in the launch and growth of a number of Tasmanian-based organisations, including SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY, and you are a mentor and friend to many leaders in the community services industry. And you have given your time voluntarily to roles on boards of governance for many years, and along with your dedication and assiduousness during your time as TasCOSS CEO have demonstrated true leadership and contributed to strengthening the organisation.
Your commitment and accomplishments have touched the lives of many Tasmanians and for that you should feel very proud.
