Young Tasmanians aged 16-25 are invited to share their experiences with energy costs, bills and services at a free forum in Launceston, with lunch, transport support and a $100 participation voucher.
Hosted by the Youth Network of Tasmania and Tasmanian Youth Voice Network, with support from Aurora Energy and TasNetworks, the statewide Energy Youth Forum will explore how energy affects young people’s everyday lives.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss understanding and managing energy bills, accessing information and support, experiences with energy companies, and ideas for improving energy services for young Tasmanians.
No prior knowledge of energy issues is required and young people are welcome to participate whether or not they currently pay an energy bill.
Feedback gathered through the forum will help Aurora Energy and TasNetworks better understand young people’s experiences and inform improvements to their services, programs and information.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided, transport support is available and all participants will receive a $100 e-gift voucher in recognition of their contribution.
Places are limited and registration is essential.
