The funding recipients from the State Government’s Essential Technology Fund have been determined with a total of $350,000 being distributed to 62 community service organisations around the state.
The fund is being administered by TasCOSS on behalf of the State Government and aims to provide financial assistance to community service organisations in Tasmania that are required to change service delivery models in response to COVID-19.
The fund was established to enable organisations to access and purchase technology to continue to deliver vital support services to Tasmanians in vulnerable circumstances through new service delivery methods online, by phone and working from home.
Organisations will use the grant funds to purchase devices for their organisations and clients, data, software, phones and other hardware and software that assists them to keep providing vital services to Tasmanians. Criteria used to assess applications included Equity, Impact and Value for Money.
All successful and unsuccessful grant applicants have now been notified of the outcome.
If you have any questions regarding the Essential Technology Fund, please contact Amy Bailey, Community Services COVID-19 Response Coordinator, via email.
