A statement from TasCOSS Board President Alex McKenzie.
I am delighted to announce Adrienne Picone will take on the role of TasCOSS CEO following the departure of Kym Goodes in February and will begin work with TasCOSS on 17 June 2020.
Adrienne has extensive experience at CEO-level and a long-standing career in the community services industry having served as the CEO of Volunteering Australia for the past three years. No stranger to our island home, prior to that Adrienne was a strong voice for Tasmanians and the state’s community service industry as CEO of Volunteering Tasmania.
Adrienne has a wealth of experience working with local, state and federal governments and is a passionate advocate for Tasmanians.
Right now is a critical time for ensuring Tasmanians get the help and support they need during the COVID-19 crisis. TasCOSS is playing a vital coordination role ensuring all Tasmanians and their communities have a voice to government during this time.
The extraordinary work of our the community services industry in responding to this crisis is what continues to motivate TasCOSS as a peak body. Our ability to support Tasmanians in need has withstood the test of added demand and enforced changes to service delivery models. Right now, community services have never been more important.
Having spoken to Adrienne, I know she is already looking forward to getting to know you all and building on her strong existing relationships.
It is a challenging time to take on the role of TasCOSS CEO and we look forward to Adrienne joining the TasCOSS team as an effective and compassionate leader for the industry.
