ExpiredConversations that Matter: Using Appreciative Inquiry in Wellness & Reablement Practice (Ulverstone)

Appreciative Inquiry, a strengths-based approach, is growing in popularity as a tool that engages, enables and motivates people to manage change at all levels. Join this practical hands-on workshop to explore how Appreciative Inquiry works and how it can strengthen Wellness and Reablement practice within Commonwealth Home Support Programs (CHSP).

These workshops are being facilitated by Wellbeing Designs on behalf of TasCOSS and are aimed at senior staff, managers and coordinators who are working in the CHSP sector and would like strategies for embedding Wellness and Reablement into their organisations.

The cost of these workshops has been significantly reduced to support CHSP providers to send a minimum of two staff along. Being able to share the experience and knowledge with a colleague not only benefits the attendee but also the organisation with two champions providing information and practice examples back to the wider team.

Nita O’Callaghan

With thirty years working with staff and volunteers in caring and empowerment capacities, Nita brings strong social intelligence, kindness and honesty to the Wellbeing Designs team, facilitating conversations that matter. Across Australia she has worked to give voice and opportunity to many. Her support of teams to identify their strengths and their intent, to challenge their assumptions and create sustainable values-driven work practices, has contributed to healthier and more stable workplaces. She brings a depth of experience in education, child safety, family strengthening, youth empowerment and community development.

Debbie Hindle

Debbie’s passion for making a positive difference in the lives of people has shone throughout a thirty-year career in working with community across both government and non-government organisations. She brings a keen sense of curiosity, appreciation for other’s stories and a love of learning to connect with and bring out the best in others. She holds a Masters of Applied Positive Psychology and has facilitated Appreciative Inquiry approaches in developing community strategies, team planning and individual coaching sessions to grow positive change.  She brings a breadth of experience in working with people across education, disability, youth, older persons, employment, housing and community development sectors.
