The Good Life
Every Tasmanian should have the opportunity for a good life — the opportunity to do more than spend each day just getting by. But what does a good life look like for Tasmanians on low incomes? What are the basics of a good life, and what makes a good life hard to achieve?
TasCOSS has talked with Tasmanians on low incomes around the state and they have told us that a good life includes nine key areas where the community services industry can make a difference.
Come join us for our second Policy Conversation of the year to hear what we’ve learned, share your views on what a good life looks like and discuss what outcomes we should be pursuing for all Tasmanians.
You can join the session remotely using Microsoft Teams. Details on how to join the Microsoft Teams meeting will be distributed closer to the date.
Registration closes at 5pm, Wednesday 17 June 2020. For more information, please contact Dr Charlie Burton, Policy Manager, on 0402 016 625 or email Charlie.
TasCOSS Policy Conversations is a free series of one-hour events hosted by TasCOSS. Each event includes a briefing on a relevant issue, followed by facilitated discussion.
The Policy Conversations series aims to:
- give TasCOSS and the sector an opportunity to share and discuss current state and federal policy issues, and
- provide a forum to gather input for the sector’s advocacy work, such as submissions and lobbying.
