- Mental Health Week 2020
5 October 2020 - 10 October 2020
9:00 am - 5:00 pm
With everything that 2020 has thrown at us so far, Mental Health Week this year will be an important time to reflect and highlight the importance of supporting each other and doing more to support our own mental health.
The theme for Mental Health Week in 2020 will again be ‘we all have a role to play’. The theme reflects not only the incredible sacrifices we’ve made this year to keep our community safe, but also the amazing way Tasmanian’s have come together to support each other through the evolving COVID-19 restrictions. Now more than ever, we’ve had to look at the idea of checking in on our own mental health, make an effort to find new and innovative ways to stay connected with family and friends and check in on our neighbours and what’s happening in our community more broadly.
We don’t know what restrictions on events and gatherings might still be in place come October, so we’re still working out exactly what Mental Health Week will look like. What we do know is that Mental Health Week 2020 will be an opportunity for us to all reflect on the challenges we’ve been through together, and celebrate the incredible community spirit and resilience Tasmanian’s have demonstrated in response to COVID-19. We can also assure you that here at MHCT we will still be supporting your events and activities for MHW and promoting what you are up to across the state.
Mark 5-10 October in your calendar and keep an eye on the MHCT website for more updates.
