Are you a new or existing Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) board member in need of a refresher? Do you know what your role entails and what your responsibilities are? What you like some strategies to know how to strengthen and grow your board?

This one-day interactive workshop, facilitated by experienced non-executive director and senior executive Michelle Swallow of Leadership and Change Consultants, will enhance participants knowledge of:

  • Their core roles and responsibilities;
  • Compliance and performance;
  • How to set and review strategy;
  • Financials and how to read them; and
  • How to attract, mentor and develop board members.

This workshop is aimed at CHSP board member, but is also relevant to board members outside of the sector.

Board Members: $55 (incl. GST)

NB: The cost of these workshops has been significantly reduced to support CHSP board members to attend. Please note: CEOs or general managers may register and accompany a board member to the training.

About the Facilitator: Michelle Swallow, Leadership and Change Consultants

Michelle is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a graduate of the Tasmanian Leaders Program, has a Bachelor of Social Work, studied at the London Business School in Negotiating and Influencing, has qualifications in leadership and management, and is currently Director of Leadership and Change Consultants.

Michelle has experience as a Non-Executive Director across a number of not-for-profit organisations and more recently as a Director of the Tasmanian Community Fund and Director of TasTAFE and Chair of their Audit and Risk Management Committee. Michelle has held a number of senior executive roles and has a background in leadership, advocacy and policy across health, VET, housing, community and capacity-building in community, government and private sectors. As a business consultant Michelle enjoys working with values-based organisations.
