The Quality Standards focus on outcomes for consumers and reflect the level of care and services the community can expect from organisations that provide Commonwealth subsidised aged care services (Aged Care Quality Standards 2019).”

Join us for this practical workshop which will cover:

  • The importance of working in a consumer direct care way,
  • The application of Standard 4: Services and Supports for Daily Living,
  • How to do continuous quality improvement; and
  • Resources, practice examples and information that you can take back to your team.

These workshops are designed for managers, safety and quality managers or those staff who hold the portfolio for safety, quality and continuous improvement within the Commonwealth Home Support Programs (CHSP). The aim of the workshops is to support CHSP providers access online training on knowledge and skills in the Aged Care Quality Standards, with a particularly focus on Standard 4: Services and Supports for Daily Living.

The workshops will be held over two weeks (2 x 90-minute online sessions). You will need to commit to attend both workshops as well as complete the set workbook activity. Please register for Option A or Option B depending on your availability. If you are new to online learning, we will support you.

You can join the group remotely using Zoom Video Conferencing. Details on how to join the Zoom Video Conferencing session will be distributed closer to the date. Please refer to the guide on how to join and participate in a TasCOSS training session online using Zoom for more information.

About the Facilitator: Rosie Beardsley Consulting

Rosie is a consultant with a strong history of working within the aged and health care sector. She believes in a multifaceted approach to training to meet the learning styles of the aged care workforce which is diverse in age, ethnicity, experience, literacy and level of previous education.

Rosie understands that workforce development is an important strategy to increase the skills, knowledge, confidence and competency of the adult workforce and to ensure the care and services delivered to older people is person-centred, safe and effective.
