There’s a new Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report in the news again and we’re hearing all about safeguard mechanisms, gas-led transitions and ever-increasing climate-related disasters devastating communities around the globe. But where do we, as community services, come in?
Join us for the latest instalment of TasCOSS’s free Policy Conversation series where we will chat with an expert from our national counterpart, Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS), about where Tasmania’s community services can and do fit into this puzzle and what we need to do in order to bolster our state’s climate resilience.
We also want you to be part of the discussion and share inspiring examples from your organisations and communities, and there will be the opportunity to ask questions following Rochelle Braaf’s (Senior Advisor — Climate and Energy, ACOSS) presentation.
The session will be facilitated by TasCOSS Policy Officer, Laurel Cuff.
Details on how to join the Microsoft Teams session will be distributed following registration.
Registration closes 5pm, Thursday 20 April 2023. For more information, please contact Laurel Cuff, Policy Officer, via email.
