CEO, Cancer Council Tasmania
TasCOSS’s Budget Priorities Statement for 2019/2020 is focused on delivering an inclusive growth strategy for Tasmania that will tackle the barriers preventing all Tasmanians from unlocking their potential.
TasCOSS works with our members to support our state’s 10,000-strong community services industry workforce. By joining TasCOSS, you are joining a diverse group of citizens who stand up for equality, brave leadership and our shared humanity.
The Members of the Tasmanian Community Sector Industry Plan are drawn from across the breadth of our sector.
The Liberals will fund TasCOSS and a joint committee of sector, peak body, and government representatives to develop a ten-year Community Sector Industry Development Plan.
If enacted, charities will not be able to use international philanthropy or foreign donations to advocate on issues that are vital to the people and communities we work with.
The 2018 State Election has been called for 3 March and TasCOSS will be by your side throughout helping to interpret the policy announcements, pointing out where our sector and Tasmanians are affected and holding our potential parliamentary representatives to account.
Many of you have already spoken with us about how we can support your efforts to highlight your key issues to the political parties and candidates.
