Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
TasCOSS receives funding from the Federal Government Department of Health to provide support to Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) providers in Tasmania to build their organisational capacity. A steering group representing a range of service types and regions meet quarterly to guide the project.
Training, Leadership and Development Opportunities
TasCOSS offered a suite of exciting and innovative training and professional development opportunities in 2019/20, including a number of leadership and development courses designed to broaden leadership horizons, hone new skills and explore new messaging and communication techniques.
Community Innovation & Investment Project (CIIP)
The Community Innovation and Investment Project (CIIP) is a collaborative approach between TasCOSS, Tasmanian communities, Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) and the State Government. A partnership enabling community voice and community change across four Tasmanian communities: Derwent Valley, South East, Break O’Day and West Coast.
COVID-19 Preparation and Advice
All TasCOSS Members and community service organisations are encouraged to review their contingency plans to ensure minimal impacts to service delivery continuity and wherever possible, contribute to the recovery of individuals, communities and services.
Public Policy
The Policy Team produced 20 submissions to government consultations across a range of policy areas in 2019/20.
Hooked! Connect, Engage and Inspire with Business Storytelling
Stories and storytelling can inspire, influence, motivate and engage people where logic and bullet points may not. Business storytelling is storytelling with a purpose and for results. TasCOSS partnered with the Local Government Association of Tasmania to facilitate two, half-day informative, practical business storytelling sessions with Yamini Naudu.
Tasmanian Community Fund Partnership/Collaboration Training
The Tasmanian Community Fund partnered with TasCOSS to provide one-day training in partnership building and collaboration at three one-day workshops in Burnie, Launceston and Hobart. Partnership Brokers Australia delivered the training.
Working Together (WT)
TasCOSS continued to engage with some of the families participating in the pilot throughout 2019, including continued contact with some who transitioned to school in 2020, feeding back their voice and experience to the Department of Education.
