Tasmania’s community services industry has proven itself vital and adaptable in the face of unprecedented change.
TasCOSS Conference 2021 is an opportunity for us to come together, acknowledge where we’ve been and look to where we’re going. Inspired by diverse voices of change from across our state and beyond, we will explore how we as an industry can best support our communities to thrive into the future.
The two-day conference will bring together CEOs, board members, managers, direct practitioners and other industry professionals from across Tasmania to explore and acknowledge the essential work of the diverse labour force — both paid and volunteer — that make up our community services industry.
Call for Proposals: Lightning Talks
*Get involved!* Call for proposals now open!
Has your work in the community service industry provided insight and learning we could all benefit from? Did you try something new or learn something unexpected? Have you been a voice for change?
All of us who work in the community service industry have a story to tell, an experience or valuable insight we could all benefit from. We are looking for presentation proposals that demonstrate what you learned and achieved while working on projects and programs.
We ask that you select one of the following broad concept areas to guide your proposal.
- Adapt — How have you/your organisation adapted in the face of change (e.g. disruption caused by the pandemic with regard to service delivery models and working arrangements)?
- Reflect — Upon reflection, what have you learned about our work practices as an industry and how we currently support Tasmanians (e.g. what works, what doesn’t, where we can improve)?
- Thrive — As an industry, how can we best support our communities to thrive into the future?
All proposals will be examined for presentation as either:
- A poster/visual display at the conference.
- A lightning talk (5 minute talk + 5 minute Q&A session).
TasCOSS will provide support for you to get the most out of your presentation at the conference. To make a proposal, please complete the application form below.
