Due to the increasing precautions that are being undertaken in response to COVID-19, TasCOSS has made the decision for staff to commence working remotely from Monday 23 March 2020. The length of this arrangement is subject to advice from health authorities.
We will continue to function as normal with the exception of face-to-face contact. We are available by phone and online for:
- Help desk support for TasCOSS Members
- Advocacy on issues impacting the industry
- Informed policy submissions and research
- Training and workshop opportunities delivered online
- TasCOSS Member communications and newsletter
TasCOSS is committed to helping to reduce the risk of infection or contagion for all stakeholders, staff, volunteers, committee members, partner organisations and clients, as well as to the general public. This will be done by adopting policies and procedures recommended or directed by public health and work safety authorities.
TasCOSS has made available on our website a number of trusted sources, resources and fact sheets on COVID-19.
All TasCOSS Members are encouraged to review their contingency plans to ensure minimal impacts to service delivery continuity and wherever possible, contribute to the recovery of individuals, communities and services. In addition, we strongly encourage you to familiarise yourself with the the process governments are taking to contain the virus, including practical things we all can do to help minimise transmission.
If you have any questions about COVID-19 preparedness or the response taken by TasCOSS, please contact us.
We will endeavour to keep you well informed as the situation evolves and thank you for your ongoing work to support Tasmanians at this time.
