Tania Hunt is the new CEO of YNOT.
Tania has over seventeen years’ experience working in the community sector in Tasmania, with twelve years experience at senior management level, predominantly in the areas of alcohol and other drugs (AOD), HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and youth health. She has been instrumental in AOD policy development at a state and national level and was Vice President of the Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Council of Tasmania.
Tania joins the YNOT team having previously held the position of Operations Manager/2IC at The Link Youth Health Service Inc. Tania was responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of youth specific services including psychosocial programs and community-based mental health care services. Prior to this, Tania spent many years at the Tasmanian Council on AIDS, Hepatitis And Related Diseases working with people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS and hepatitis.
Tania is committed to working collaboratively with government, community and private sectors to continue the success of YNOT’s work. She will focus on identifying opportunities to diversify revenue streams, broaden and maintain membership and develop new strategic partnerships to ensure YNOT is sustainable into the future. Tania also has an interest in sector development and building the capacity of member organisations to respond to youth issues in Tasmania.
Tania will commence her role with YNOT on 5 February. The YNOT Board are excited to welcome Tania to the team and will support her introduction to the youth and community sector over the coming months. In the meantime, please contact the YNOT office for further enquiries.
