Trauma Awareness Network Australia (TANA) is seeking expression of interest for a community forum in January. TANA is a grassroots organisation based on the North-West Coast of Tasmania, set up to disseminate information about the root causes of mental, social, emotional and physical ill health and to share solutions that have worked.
We invite you to a community forum to hear about:
- Complex trauma, toxic stress and their impact on brain development.
- Prevention, protective factors and recovery from the impact of trauma.
- Data and key approaches from the World Health Organisation (WHO).
- Collaborative strategies that have worked to improve the wellbeing of communities worldwide.
The North-West and West Coast region is a perfect community to embrace a solutions focussed collaborative approach to wellbeing and TANA wants to talk with you about taking on this challenge together. Mike Gaffney, MLC Member for Mersey, will be Master of Ceremonies with morning tea and refreshments provided.
