The Salvation Army are delivering a two-day intensive Train the Trainer program  on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 August which equips attendees to deliver future training and incorporate various modules of the Start Today program into existing programs. It covers the research evidence informing the Start Today Again program, inter-generational trauma and link to violent behaviour, inheritance, how fathers can change their behavior and heal relationships with their children and how to use the Start Today Again resource toolkit

The Start Today Again project was developed by The Salvation Army (Tas) in partnership with the University of Tasmania and funded by the Commonwealth DSS – Building Safe Communities for Women and Children program in 2017.

The project was designed and informed by a recommendation from a previous action research project Increasing Men’s Awareness of the Effects on Children Exposed to Family and Domestic Violence.

The Start Today Again seminar was successfully launched and presented in Hobart, Launceston and Devonport.   The SPONGE multi-media film clip was also launched and has been viewed by over 3K on the Tasmanian Community Fund website.
