Red Thread is now accepting entries for the “My Still Life Photography Prize”, a chance for Australians to enter what might be the nation’s biggest COVID-19 photography contest.
As many Australians are living different lives at the moment, Red Thread is encouraging people to share a snapshot of their time during this unique point in history. For many it is a time of isolation and stillness, while others are working harder than ever. Capturing a moment that reflects your emotions, activities and surroundings can not only shine light your own experience but give you a chance to win a cash prize.
Two winners will be selected: $1,000 will be given to a photograph nominated by a panel of judges, and $500 will be awarded to a photograph chosen by the public through Facebook.
Photos can be entered through the Red Thread Facebook page, where you can also find more details about the competition and a gallery of submissions. The contest closes at 5pm (AEST), Friday 15 May 2020 and the winners will be announced the following week. For more information visit Red Thread of Facebook or Instagram, @weareredthread, or online www.redthread.org.au.
Red Thread is the public face of the Tasmanian Council on AIDS, Hepatitis, and Related Diseases (TasCAHRD), the peak Tasmanian community organisation in the area of bloodborne viruses, sexual health and wellbeing.
