Quit Tasmania: 559 Lives Project

29 May 2020

Do you work with people who smoke and whose lives are impacted by the cost of tobacco?

A person who smokes 20 cigarettes a day will be spending around $10,000 a year on tobacco, perpetuating the cycle of poverty for many.

Quit Tasmania has received Healthy Tasmania funding to deliver the statewide ‘559 Lives Project: Free Nicotine Replacement Therapy via the Quitline’ for people who are experiencing disadvantage and who smoke.

This is a great opportunity for people who would like to make a quit attempt but find the cost of pharmacotherapy to be a barrier.
