31 May 2020

Working It Out is currently recruiting for two new LGBTIQ+ Community Workers — one to be based in Burnie (co-located with Youth, Family & Community Connections) and one in Launceston.

Part-time roles (13 hours per week) located in Burnie and Launceston. A person may apply for both roles, but travel to and from their place of work (i.e. Launceston and Burnie) would be their own responsibility. All work related travel is otherwise covered.

    1. Facilitate peer support groups for those negotiating their gender, sexuality and or intersex status and for their friends and family.
    2. Create relationships with the broader LGBTIQ+ community members and organisations and work collaboratively with these to add value to WIO’s work.
    3. Provide information and support to LGBTIQ+ individuals and their families/support networks.
    4. Provide resources, advocacy and referral to appropriate service providers and support networks where possible.
