    Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania (MRC Tas) is a not-for-profit organisation which has helped migrants and refugees to settle in Tasmania since 1979. Our skilled staff help migrants and refugees from all countries and ages.

    MRC Tas Aged Care Services specialise in providing support Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) frail aged, younger people with disabilities and their carers.

    Case Worker (Aged Care Services) — Hobart

    This role is a fixed term part-time position which works as part of the Aged Care Team in helping eligible clients from established and emerging CALD communities to have access to appropriate aged care services.

    The Case Worker position is a mixture of support work and case management within a supportive environment with senior staff on hand to provide advice and leadership to this position.

    Counsellor — Launceston

    This role is responsible for the delivery of counselling and related support to clients who have experienced torture and/or trauma prior to arrival in Australia. The position services clients who have entered Australia recently (including eligible asylum seekers) as well as those who have resided longer.

    The Counsellor provides a holistic range of services including short, medium and long-term culturally appropriate counselling, group work, community development and training. The Counsellor will develop cooperative working relationships with other program areas within MRC Tas and other associated service providers and communities. This position is for 3 days per week.
