Position Vacant: Digital Communications Officer (Sydney)

28 July 2019 12:00 am Australia/Hobart

ACOSS is partnering with Democracy in Colour to offer an exciting opportunity for an emerging campaigner of colour to join the ACOSS team in an ongoing role as our Digital Communications Officer and to take part in the People of Colour Placement Program.

Democracy in Colour’s People of Colour (POC) Placement Program is a 10-month on-the-job training program for emerging campaigners of colour. This program is about finding emerging campaigners of colour, supporting their talent, and pushing organisations to centre their voices for real, lasting change. It places emerging leaders in paid positions in advocacy NGOs alongside a training and mentoring program run by Democracy in Colour.

During the 10-month program, the ACOSS Digital Communications Officer will spend on average the equivalent of 1 day per week participating in training and professional development as part of the POC Placement Program, with a focus on digital communications.
