Your workplace might have First Aid Officers but does it have Mental Health First Aid Officers?
The Adult Mental Health First Aid course (new 4th edition) will give you the key skills to give initial help to someone developing a mental health problem or experiencing a crisis.
You will gain….
- The ability to identify, understand and respond to signs of depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, substance abuse problems, suicidal thoughts and behaviours, panic attacks and self-injury.
- An understanding of your own views and feelings about mental health issues and disorders.
- More confidence in providing support to others and advising them to seek professional help.
This course is recommended for workplaces that seek to increase the overall mental health and wellbeing knowledge of their staff. It is highly recommended for HR Staff, WH&S Staff & Officers, Contact Officers, Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders and anyone interested in learning more about mental health.
The 12-hour Mental Health First Aid course teaches adults (18 years and over) how to provide initial support to adults who are developing a mental illness or experiencing a mental health crisis.
