This training is an outcome of the Gender on the Agenda project run by the Drug Education Network (DEN) over the last two years. Through this project, knowledge and skill in recognising and responding to Domestic and Family Violence was identified as a gap for the Tasmanian Alcohol and Drug Sector (AoD) workers. DEN worked with Yemaya Women’s Support Services and SHE to produce a toolkit and training series especially for the Tasmanian AoD Sector.
This training is aimed at frontline AoD workers and community sector workers and will be suitable for beginner practitioners as well as those wanting to update their knowledge and practice in this area.
This is a full day’s training on contemporary approaches to Domestic and Family Violence from Tasmania’s leading Domestic and Family Violence sector organisations SHE and Yemaya Women’s Support Services. It will be an in-depth analysis of recognising and responding to Domestic and Family Violence using the new AOD Workers Guide to Domestic and Family Violence.
