Expressions of interest are invited from organisations wishing to occupy the Youth ARC upper level, located at the rear of City Hall, 44 Collins Street Hobart, for an initial lease period of two years.
This is a great opportunity for community, cultural, or creative organisations to utilise this facility within a vibrant and developing CBD precinct. Opportunities are available for the tenant to partner with the Youth Arts and Recreation Centre.
The tenancy area has an approximate floor area of 456m² comprising of a dance studio, meeting room, offices and central amenities. The facility, owned by the City of Hobart, is in good condition and would suit a range of community uses. Please note that the facility is only accessed via sets of stairs, there is no accessible access to this space which will restrict options for usage.
To ensure that this space provides the best possible use and value to the Hobart community, it is anticipated that the successful applicant will provide positive benefits and values, in line with the City’s vision and strategies. The high utilisation of Council facilities by the community is considered important, and submissions that demonstrate high utilisation would also be seen positively. It is noted that an applicant may include a provision to sub-let one of the spaces to a separate group. Information relating to the sub-letting arrangements should be included in the Expression of Interest submission.
Expression of interest documentation is available for download here: www.hobartcity.com.au/lease-eoi.
All expressions of interest are to be lodged with the City of Hobart by 5 pm Friday 28 May 2021. The City of Hobart reserves the right not to consider expressions of interest lodged after that date.
