Preparing for work in the disability sector is a tailored program to develop the skills and knowledge of individuals suited to and passionate about working directly with people with a disability.

Regular workshops, flexible learning, one to one coaching, work placement and self-paced study will develop your confidence and networks for work in the expanding community services sector.

Learn the required knowledge and skills to be confident in a providing direct care and support in disability care within community organisations.

Skills developed include understanding the community sector, communication protocols, maintaining safety, organising priorities and learning though simulation. You will also learn about employer expectations and requirements for the sector.

Program starts 26 April.
