24 October 2017 9:00 am - 12:30 pm Australia/Hobart
Bellerive Yacht Club
64 Cambridge Rd, Bellerive
Presented by Prof David Snowden, Bangor University, Wales.
Prof Snowden is architect of the Cynefin Framework.
The Cynefin Framework – cynefin is Welsh for haunt, habitat, familiar – offers decision-makers a “sense of place” from which to view their perceptions. This workshop will be a unique opportunity to hear first-hand from David and to be involved in a dynamic and interactive process to consider the potential for health promoting action at the local and virtual community level in Tasmania. The workshop will involve:
- Understanding how the Cynefin Framework helps us make sense of how we use knowledge and take action
- A comprehensive overview of the framework and principles, focussing on decision making and leading change on complex issues – such as the vision for a healthy Tasmania
- Discussion of ideas for connecting local action with shared principles and State wide direction. We hear that people want a belief in possibilities, hope for a better future, and we know there is a genuine resourcefulness among many of our places and communities in Tasmania.
We hope you can join us for this interactive and creative workshop. Tea coffee and morning tea provided.
