City of Hobart Equal Access Strategy

3 March 2021 10:30 am - 12:30 pm Australia/Hobart

The City of Hobart is in the process of reviewing and updating the Equal Access Strategy 2014-2019. As a vital part of this process we invite you to make comment on our current strategy and future directions.

In the current strategy, the following issues are identified as priority areas for action:

    • Participation opportunities
    • Accessible buildings, infrastructure and streetscapes
    • Access to parking and transport
    • Accessible information
    • Disability awareness

We are requesting your feedback on these five priority areas and Council’s role in the area of equal access.  A forum for the Community and Disability Sector will be held on:

10:30-12:30pm, Wednesday 3 March 2021 (light lunch from 12noon), Ballroom, Town Hall

Please RSVP to Megan on (03) 6238 2413 by Monday 1 March 2021

If you are unable to attend the forum, individual comment can be made to the Community Development Officer — Access and Facilities, Megan Cunningham, on (03) 6238 2413 or

We look forward to your involvement in the strategy review and being part of the development of a new Equal Access Commitment in line with the Social Inclusion Framework.
